Going for gold: Milton Keynes athlete receives coach name honour
Milton Keynes athlete Andrew Baggaley unveiled a National Express coach named in honour of his impressive sporting achievements.
ENGLAND EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS
England won medals in 16 of the 17 sports, with only rugby7s missing out, while the track and field athletes garnered eight more medals than four years ago, and one more gold. In all the aquatics disciplines England won 37 medals compared to 26 in 2006, while the team finished top nation in squash for the first time ever, and doubled its Melbourne gymnastics tally.

12.07.12 - Bruce Longden 1939-2012
England Athletics was greatly saddened by the death of Bruce Longden at the age of 72. Bruce was coach to Sally Gunnell and Daley Thompson, among many others, and his outstanding contribution to our sport was recognised when he was inducted into our Hall of Fame last year.
