Tennis
Tennis made its one and only appearance at the Commonwealth Games in 2010 where England won silver and bronze.
James Ward made Team England history when he became the first English tennis player to play at the Commonwealth Games on day one of Delhi 2010. He won his opening match against Patrick Leong of the Solomon Islands 6-1, 6-1.
It was in the doubles competition however where England picked up their biggest successes, under the guidance of Paul Hutchins, a former Davis Cup captain. His son Ross (top) together with Ken Skupski reached the men's final and secured a silver medal.
Having won silver together, they then had to compete against each other for the bronze medal in the mixed doubles. Ken came out on top along with Sarah Borwell, coming from a set down to win 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.
