Prospective Team England boxer Nicola Adams returned to the gym where she first put on a pair of gloves as the Queen's Baton Relay arrived in Leeds.

Adams was carrying the Baton for a second time, but in stark contrast to Downing Street, the boxer was back at Burmantofts Amateur Boxing Club where she first joined at a 12-year-old.

The boxer, who won Olympic gold in London two years ago, will be hoping for similar success in Glasgow next month and said it was a real honour for Leeds and herself to welcome the Baton.

Leeds represents the penultimate day of the QBR in England before it is passed onto Scotland and after the boxing club the Baton visited the Headingly cricket ground and the John Charles Centre.

Later on this afternoon the Leeds City Council will host a send-off for the Baton and for athletes competing in Glasgow befoe the relay heads up to Newcastle for it's final leg.
