  • Netball

    Introduced with other team sports in 1998, England's netball teams have won medals in all but one Commonwealth Games.

  • Rugby Sevens

    A core sport following appearances at the four Games between 1998 and 2010. England's only medal so far came in 2006 with a silver medal success.

  • Shooting

    Pistol, rifle and shotgun competitions with many different events, shooting is a Commonwealth Games favourite with 11 appearances.

  • Squash

    England have won gold medals in squash at every Games since its inclusion in 1998 thanks to the likes of three-time World Champion Nick Matthew.

  • Swimming

    A core sport and part of every single Games from 1930 onwards. England's most decorated female medallist Karen Pickering is just one of England's many heroes.

  • Table Tennis

    Since 2002 an optional sport. England's Andrew Baggaley is the Commonwealth Games' most decorated British table tennis medallist.

  • Triathlon

    Combining swimming, cycling and running, triathlon is not for the faint-hearted. On the sports programme at Manchester 2002 and Melbourne 2006.

  • Weightlifting

    This theatrical sport has been on every Games' sports programme since 1950. Great names include Precious McKenzie, Giles Greenwood and Zoe Smith.

  • Wrestling

    England are one of just a handful of nations to send a wrestling team to each of the 16 Games in which wrestling has featured.
